MOE VR Classroom Excursion Pilot Project For Primary 4 Social Studies
From March to April 2017, the pilot VR classroom excursion project completed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority, Ministry of Education, Beach House Pictures (who created and implemented the project), and Hiverlab (we provided our Storyhive VR presentation system to support the delivery of this project), was conducted in 5 primary schools and among 400 students. The VR content was designed for Primary 4 students in Singapore for their Social Studies classes, and teachers are able to use the Storyhive system to guide the students around in a list of virtual environments.
The pilot VR classroom excursion project was featured on The Straits Times.
The project was first announced in Oct 2016 at IMDA’s launch event. Kudos to everyone who has contributed to this pilot along the way!
